Exchange Semester (Fall/Spring): Fall
Academic Year: 2016/2017
Chosen Electives (name)
Meet the Stage: Public Speaking and Interaction Skills
ICT-enabled business process reengeneering
Main differences compared to Nova SBE teaching methods
Pretty similar in terms of teaching methods, but there is no grader but a co-professor
Is the local CEMS Club active?
Yes, very active
Available options for accommodation and suggestions
There are two organisations, AYY and HOAS. If you get an apartment here (apply as early as possible, first
come first serve basis), you can manage to get very centrally located, good accommodation for a good price.
On the private market, however, accommodation can be very expensive
Approximate cost of accommodation
It varies largely, in between 250 and 700 Euros
Total cost of living (per month)
Very cheap. As a student in Finland you get a lot of subsidies, also for transportation. I myself paid around 70
Euros for my entire semester once.
Going out for dinner is almost unaffordable. It is very, very easy to spend 50 euros or more on a single dinner.
Fins usually meet and cook together, or go to Fast food places for some cheap food.
If you cook yourself it is all affordable.
Most amazing semester! I didn’t want to go at first, but now in retrospect I would not exchange it for any other place in the list. Fins are really crazy people, and the student association is very active (and very rich, they have around 30million Euros in assets). If you can choose, take the winter semester. Yes, it will be cold, but it is really interesting and you get to go to the arctic circle and most importantly, join the Mursujaisket day. What it is? Well... you’ll find out ;)
