Exchange Semester (Fall/Spring): Fall

Academic Year: 2016/2017

Chosen Electives (name)

Intensive Czech for foreigners = CEMS course, International Strategy, CEMS Marketing, People management, Retail War, CSR

Main differences compared to Nova SBE teaching methods

It’s similar in terms of a lot of group works. It’s not as demanding as NOVA

Is the local CEMS Club active?

The Cems club organized a lot of activities. For example: every week we had a CEMS drink to see each other, Team building weekends, etc. Because of the active CEMS club we were a very close group of friends. It made my exchange the best experience I could wish for.

Accommodation

Available options for accommodation and suggestions

I stayed at the residence as all the cems exchange students were staying there. Make sure you contact the other exchange students before going to ask where they are going. Because the residence is not amazing but when everyone is there it’s amazing. Otherwise find an apartment close to school which is also close to the city center.

Approximate cost of accommodation

Residence = 280 a month

Total cost of living (per month)

It’s much cheaper as Lisbon.

Transportation cost

700 CZK a month (student card)

Meal cost

Can have dinner for 10 euros

Experience

Briefly comment your overall experience

I truly loved my experience. Mostly due to the people I met and because of the active CEMS club.

Prague is just a beautiful city and is amazing to live in.

The Czech people are very friendly if you get to know them, in the beginning you could perceive them as cold and rude. However, they have black humor and you just need to be open minded. Because when you get closer to them they are so friendly and would offer you everything.
